Reduction in number of NR deer licenses

My Montana mule deer hunt was good also first time out there and killed a buck I was happy with. I seen more Montana residents than NR lots of hunters from the west side of the state.
Cutting nonresidents tags and pick your region or district could improve things a lot for Montana.

Cutting nonresident tags would be detrimental to the BMA program (which is already on a downward trajectory).
Antlerradar eluded to the program being on its way out which is correct with aging landowners. Money would be better spent for long term access to public through easements and managing what we have. Hard to sell me that all the nonresidents dollars are helping anything because that’s not what I have seen.

september rifle ????
I have hunted some September rifle deer hunts in Wyoming me and my buddy’s have done decent on them. Time of year doesn’t matter to me yes easier in the rut but just having the opportunity to go is the biggest thing I would rather have more opportunity at less desirable times that little to no opportunity at peak times.

Yes making NR pick the unit they want to hunt and only allowing them to hunt that unit like Idaho does would probably help some with NR overcrowding.
