Draw Process Working Group Recommendations

I signed up. Absolutely disappointed with the way the preference point fee was implemented.

A deer tag costs $48, and a point is $15? It is a 32% price increase. A $15 point fee for elk @ $66 is 23% price increase.

I don't know what world they are living in, hopefully we can get them to join the real world.

They had a commission meeting today, approved the 2028 changes as presented except for the point fee. They approved a placeholder in the system for the point fee but didn't put into effect the actual price. They are going to spend more time looking at it before deciding $ if any. Feeling the $ was too high.

One thing people tend to overlook is that the majority of Colorado residents are non-hunters. It is better for them financially to have a greater number of tags be sold to nonresidents.

The state makes more money that way and since they don’t hunt anyway, what do they care who gets the tag?
This is true
