Ok so I had all of the intentions of holding out for a bigger buck that I had seen on this place before. I just couldn't find him this morning but this buck had mess of does and one little satellite buck. My rifle season time is limited so I decided he was a good enough deer but I had to wait for his does to bed down. I had breakfast with a flock of sharpies while waiting...I never realized how talkative they are when they feed. It was quite entertaining.

I cut the distance from about a mile to about 250 yards. I shot him with my 7mm-08...this little rifle is quickly becoming my favorite shooter. The cold destroyed my camera batteries so a sad cell pic will have to suffice. He has is a chunky deer with a nice double throat patch.
