Last years buck was my biggest by a mile at just under 79”. He’s a giant to me since I’m used to seeing low to mid 60s, still a blast to hunt and trophies all the same. This buck is the only animal I’ve taken that I consider a “something of a lifetime”, but I have big plans.

I was going to say i mounted this antelope, but realized " i had this antelope mounted" sounded better.
Mid 70's. The little stickers were cool.
Big mug on this guy, sadly the taxidermist made him look rather emaciated.View attachment 383265

Funny story, along the same lines. The meat processor in NE MT always asked me if I have ever field mounted any of my deer or antelope and I had no clue what he meant until more conversation……

It has been three years since we have hunted antelope. Really looking forward to this year. mtmuley
I haven’t killed an antelope in forever. The one above was the last buck I killed in 2001. I for the life of me couldn’t draw a tag for years running, in a decent odds unit. Haven’t applied in MT since we moved. Odds are good there will be a ragtag camp of Hunt Talkers in Wyoming next year.
