Saw this in town today at a sporting goods store. Winchester Model 70 Super Grade Maple in 30-06 for $1350.00. Dang it's hard to hold it and then put it back. It just doesn't feel right.

My Weatherby Mark V in 300 wby mag. Has a bit of a different color wood than most I see. Doesnt get much use in the jungles of
Alabama but I will probably hang on to it. Not sure why I even bought it. A weak moment at the LGS.

A tanger in 30-06 was my first as well. Hunted happily and successfully with it for 20 years before I started hanging out in these
hunting blogs and found out I needed other rifles.

My everything rifle. A Model 70 Featherweight Limited in 6.8 O'Conner (Now that sounds trendy lol) better known as the vanilla flavored yet still wonderfully effective .270 Win.
with a Leupold FX-3 6x42 . Shes got a few handling marks but shes used every year for what she was built for.

Not near my best shooter and nowhere near the lightest rifle I have but probably my favorite. 1903 Springfield built by Paul Jaeger in 1945. Military two stage trigger cleaned up, favorite trigger ever. 180gr Hornady's go just over an inch at 100yds but it hit's everything I point it at! It's the only 30-06 I ever hunted with, my elk rifle! Scope is a 2 3/4x 4 plex CCH Redfield I got new about 1971. Love this rifle!
