Not conclusive, but for as long as CWD has been around, this is the first odd occurrence, that I am aware of, of possible cross-species transmission to humans:

Not claiming that the NIH is bullet-proof, but they just published a study saying it's very unlikely that humans get get CWD. They basically tried to infect human tissue with CWD and were unable to.
