Saw this small sapling today while out checking my cams and thought it might be porky-pine chewing on the trees. It seemed to big for a scrape.

Mthunter lives in that same kind of country an has seen lots of those I'm sure. The ultimate tell tale is that none of the horizontal branches are broke off from a rub. Maybe it was an omish deer and had fine wood working skills.:)

Looks like I need to spend a day sitting and waiting and get some archery target practice. I got a feeling this little bugger is doing his deed at night though.
 
Explain to the landowner that the other 2 Pines next to it will grow better now that they have less competition. Porky actually did a little TSI.
