This last fall I pulled a stupid and dropped my Pentax DCF SP 10x50's on a rock. The glass was untouched, but the right eyepiece part that twists up and down was bent and it sheared off a little screw.
I sent in the bino's to Pentax's service dept Jan 9, '06 with a note explaining they'd been dropped. I wondered if such an oops would be covered under warranty or if they'd charge. Got them today repaired good as new at no charge. Timeline of repairs was as advertised on Pentax's website. Two thumbs up.
Very satisfied with the binos, hard to do better for the $. AND the product is backed by very good customer service.
By the way, binos were purchased from Doug @ Camerland 22 months ago.
