Having gotten a new scope recently with a parallax knob that has no yardage markings I started paying a bit more attention to it then I had previously and wish I had done so much sooner. Before I would just use the yardage marks and call it good enough having read that the error is not very significant. I realize now that some of the errors I have been chasing, especially at 100 have possibly been from parallax as I know my form isn’t always perfect.

It’s true that if parallax is adjusted to a longer range - say 300 and you are shooting closer the Maximum error isn’t too crazy. But if you had it set at a closer setting say 50yards and you were shooting 100yards it’s a decent potential error - especially if you are shooting for groups or setting zero. Here’s a site you can use to play around with the numbers: https://www.lelandwest.com/parallax...onid=2DFF3B2FAB05E07742491DDC6F8C315F.cfusion
