I love that winch. Coming back down the river tonight I realized only 2 way to really hunt moose. One is with a weak mind and strong back or with a big stack of cash. Everything up here is just ridiculously heavy even the 15 gallon jug of fuel I had to move into the back of the boat today

We just swung back by camp for lunch. The guys caught some ptarmigan and a beaver. Guess we are having beaver backstrap tonight. One moose tag left and he is holding out for something really special.

Well…… just finished my last rib eye. We are pretty much out of gas and all 3 bulls are hanging out by the smoke house. Supposed to snow most the day tomorrow I’ll get some hero pics with all 3 of us and post up all the random ones later. Plane tickets got booked tonight. Fly out on Saturday give us plenty of time to pack and move up to the village and get all the other stuff prepared and dropped at cargo to get it home. It’s been a trip. Idaho opens in 5 days

Life got hectic kinda fell behind on this. Got home the other day took family out to the pumpkin patch. Noticed the new entertainment center I apparently bought while in Alaska sitting in the living room. Told my wife I’d put it together before I left for Idaho. It’s taken 2 days i swear it’s been about 15 hours of work. Kinda threw some stuff together tonight gonna get up early and finish packing. Gotta pretty get everything ready. Plans changed and I’m rolling solo on this season opens tomorrow goal is a dead bull by the 9th since general rifle deer opens on the 10th
