I knew that by not taking an otc elk tag on my deer hunt a couple weeks ago there was a 99% I’d see elk. I was right. They were a long ways off, but I saw them.

Hehe. I'm going in this weekend with only a cow elk tag and am fully expecting to see a monster bull within 100 yards of my truck...

I antelope hunted a unit that had leftover cow tags available , I didn't buy one. About three days int my hunt I had a cow standing in camp in between my tent and my cooler....Kicked self in a@@ the rest of the week.

Had a bull two weeks ago 30 yards from the truck just looking at us for a couple minutes saw bulls and cows out after 8:00 am only one guy hunting bull just north of he probably was seeing all the big bucks.
