to close out one deer season and get a start on another year of hunting.
I'm making some last minute plans to squeeze in one last weekend of hunting Jan. 11 & 12 before our season ends on the 15th. Going to take minimal gear for a spike camp of sorts and hunt some public land in northern Oklahoma where I took a small 8-point with my rifle. Nothing like the western big game adventures many of you are able to enjoy, but about as close as it gets for me right now. It will be an archery hunt and I found a couple good spots when I was up there in November that I think I will try. Just need something to get away for a couple days. Hopefully a buddy will be able to come with me. If not then I'll go by myself and enjoy the solitude.
