Some of the very best blood trails I’ve ever seen have been from 257 WBY. One appeared to have been blood poured from a bucket on a chest shot.

Pretty big difference in a 257 weatherby and a 25-06. That extra 300-400fps modern powders and bullets help tremendously.

Because I wanted the extra velo with heavier bullets.

Anybody shooting 25 SST yet with ELD-VT 95 gr, SBK 90gr or 75 gr V-max? I’m going to try them for night hunting coyotes if I can get them to shoot…

Or any other light weight varmint bullet. If they don’t shoot I might have to go with the 110 eld-x, but something that I can shoot very flat from 175-350 yards.
