OSU deserves this, for sure. They beat WI when they were a Top 20. Then beat the #1 and # 2 teams on consecutive weeks. Seeing how OSU played at the end of the season, it makes you wonder how many other "journalist only champions" have come out of the BCS system, prior to this playoff format.
Not sure why anyone would question this new system for determining a National Champion. The best team is the National Champion. No questions, no votes, no controversy.

I couldn't say it better! That being said don't know how they would do it, but would love to see a 8 team play off. Bye the way I'm a buckeyes fan...GO BUCKS!!!!!
The Buckeyes have played some great football the past month! Congrats to them for a strong win last night. Lots of very young talent on that team and I look for them to be back in the playoff next year. Unless one or two leave, they will have the toughest QB competition in the country come spring practice!
I agree with Fin, I think the playoff system was awesome! I also find it 2 things about it quite amusing. First, the two teams (Ala and FSU) that would have likely been in the BCS championship where the first two out. Second, that the lowest seeded team won. I think it makes a great case for keeping the playoff and also a good case for possible expansion to 8 teams.
