My Wyoming elk hunt was next with my buddy Mike. I didn't fire a shot, but he ended up with the biggest bull he's ever shot on the ground. HUGE body on him, the boned out meat weighed 264lbs.

Great times just hanging around camp with the boys.

The hunting gods did not smile upon me this year...no elk, no deer, and no antelope. I was able to find a few ducks to pass the time. I shot my first Montana gadwalls. The season was slow and mild and I only managed to shoot about 1/3 the ducks that I did last year. Here's a limit of drakes with a bonus gadwall hen...my first Central Flyway 6 bird limit.

My New Mexico elk hunt.

Was a tough week with lots of boot leather. Lot's of pretty scenery though.

Interesting bear.
