Hey guys, I am looking at hunting mule deer on my girlfriends families land near Cartwright with my bow. What kind of licensing and such am I going to need? it will probably be later season since I will be hunting Montana until Thanksgiving for myself and everyone in the family I go with. Thanks for any help!

Not gonna happen. The state allocated up to 1% of its 49,000 licenses to non-residents, and it doesn't sound like you got one of them.

The way read the regs was that's for rifle. I am looking at bow... gues I should have mentioned that!

Still not gonna happen for a muley. You could hunt whitetails with a bow. There are up to 281 any-deer bow licenses available, which have already been allocated.

WHen is the application and drawing for the any-deer licenses? I'd like to look at it for a possibility for next season.
