Went high and low yesterday morning. Thankfully the good Lord let me punch another kind of Colorado tag! He wasn't the oldest bird but had a great gobble and a 7" beard. Biologist said he was a Rio/Merriam hybrid. I'll take it any day for my first CO bird. Sadly you only get one tag out here though.

I love watching turkey during elk season. Usually see tons of em. Nice job publichunter.
 
Keep tight lipped about that place if it is anywhere near where you are from! When I was in college we struggled to find a place to hunt turkeys up there- se we headed much further south.

It's definitely hard finding a decent place out here. Found one place on the NF that had several birds but several more hunters. Found this straggler on a piece on West were there were no other hunters.

This is pretty much the only time I will ever get to hunt them out this way but I have some buddies who will inherit the spot.
