"Non-Corporate" YouTube hunting channels

Like many here, I enjoy watching YouTube hunting channels. However, in recent years I've become pretty disillusioned with the ones that are clearly "killing for content" to drive the algorithm, satisfy their corporate sponsor masters, and pay their bills. I was wondering if folks could list "non-corporate, non-sponsored, regular person with a real job" YouTube hunting channels you enjoy. It doesn't need to be a channel that pumps out content - quite likely to be the opposite given the criteria I listed. Thanks in advance.

I've been more into those shows lately too. I just can't connect with the guys who hunt 3 months a year. I watched an 'Abandon Outdoors' video the other day. It's a bit more budget, but pretty solid content.

Man, they all seem to have sponsors - and it is what it is - but in the last few years I have really gotten into watching trapping content (MontanaWolfTrapper, MountainManLarry, others), and though those guys will have a plug here or there, they also seem to be normal people who work for a living.

It ain't necessarily hunting content, but it has some, and though it has been discontinued, Outdoor Boys was king and I feel was pretty much entirely sponsor-free.

There's no shortage of amazing YT content from amatuers. Like the guys who are sucking on darts while casting big ass spoons for salmon, offering unsolicited advice and dick picks to anyone who comes around.

Uplander is good. I like how they pick apart their strategies and keep it pretty lowk ey. NDYakAngler is like fishing with Bob Ross.

I understand the desire, and I seek out 'smaller' creators, also. But part of the reason most of the YT creators have sponsors is to fund better production (and, in most cases, I assume, to actually have a revenue stream whereby they can make profit).

It would be awesome if all the YT guys were more like Fin and operated at break-even (or below), but at the end of the day, I think we would do ourselves a favor as consumers to stop imagining that YT/IG, etc are just folks spending effort, time and money to produce content on their own dime because they like to entertain people.

I watch a couple of semi-local guys similar to the ones that the esteemed @Ben Lamb called out, and I appreciate the no-frills approach (and the unintentional humor), but I spend more time watching guys like, for example, the Hunting Public, because the videos/trips are just higher quality but still maintain a “DIY/Public land hunting” mission and presentation.

A lot of what I want to avoid in YT content is videos that have entire commercial segments inside the video itself. I can handle creators giving little ad reads to their call sponsor, etc mid-video, but as someone who has paid for YT Premium since it became an option (even though the price has doubled it is still the best money I spend on streaming services just to not have ads), it is doubly frustrating for me when there's an ad embedded in the content itself.

Hunting public is fine.

but I bet there's a few hundred dollars to be made by having a UP Hunting Camp channel that's just uchre and blackberry brandy sponsored. Maybe Koegels as well.

We’ve talked about doing that at our elk camps - sponsored by steamboat conoco donuts, jones’ Cribbage boards (I totally made that up - I have no idea who made my cribbage boards), and advil.

Watch out for a content drop in October. It will be filmed on a handheld iPhone 15 that is constantly shifting from portrait to landscape and background music provided by my buddy that falls asleep and snores at the 1st glassing point.

On today's episode of "WTF Am I Watching?" - we'll be discussing beans and whether or not elk can hear you fart.

We all agree they can smell Delroy, but can they hear it too?
