I have a Tikka 22-250 and the ONLY thing bad about shooting it suppressed is paying the ammo bill.....ESPECIALLY on prairie dogs!!!

At range, yes. While hunting, no.

Its not, the suppressed rifle is many many many times louder.

Suppressed rifle shots are typically well under 140 dB at shooters ear. Mid 120s to mid 130s is pretty normal.

Ear plugs and muffs have tested/advertised NRR ratings for how much the reduce noise. High 20s, low 30s seems like a pretty typical rating. Just happens to be about the same amount a suppressor reduces noise from a typical hunting rifle.
