I've been thinking about this, I think I'd like to draw my january archery deer unit. Then I could take the family on a regular vacation during the summer.

I passed on applying this year. It comes down to I have a really chance of drawing other tags so I felt NM wasnt worth my time and its all random so Im not penalized for skipping a year.

Id like to think that but I wouldn't even have to time to do the gila elk tag justice

I did the math and between 5 species - I have a 92% chance of drawing at least one, and a 65% chance of drawing at least two.

But I will realistically draw nothing

I suspect that you did the math wrong unless you’re a resident or in the outfitter pool.

Edit: I guess your screen name suggests you’re probably a resident.

As I recall it’s usually 3-5 business days. It does help take the edge off the disappointment.

I just double checked; last year my card was refunded the day after the draw.

I put my app in about a week B4 the deadline that way I wouldn't have too much money on my cc.

I put my app in the day after my CC billing cycle ended. Nothing like using their money although I hope to have to pay it back instead of getting a refund!!

Pretty sure my wife glares at me every time it crosses her mind . But to be fair it could be for a number of other stupid things so I keep quiet!
