I think Tony Mong leaving was the last straw and certainly had something to do with it.

IME the Director has to march far more in step with, and be ready to sacrifice career by taking a professional bullet, for the Gov. Politics in state wildlife agencies never benefits wildlife.

She is a good person who was just bad at this job. I give Gordon credit for acknowledging it and making the move. Would have been much easier for him to leave her there for a few more months. Feel bad for her, because she is a good person. Just a very poor Director.

Yeah, definitely saw that here. Governor wanted him gone for being too accommodating of the sportsmen’s community.

Only making 145k now instead of 195k. With the governer leaving, she can save the 50k a year she was paying him so its a net even with less spotlight and less headache. Sounds to me like she came out ahead. By the looks of her in the last 6 months, something is seriously wrong with her health.
