It's interesting because Gordon's term is ending soon. Maybe she figured she'd be ousted when there is a new governor and maybe this is a safer bet?

Bottom line, she is gone as Director of WGFD and that is a positive for Wyoming's wildlife, the WGFD and the employees of the WGFD.

I think Tony Mong leaving was the last straw and certainly had something to do with it.

IME the Director has to march far more in step with, and be ready to sacrifice career by taking a professional bullet, for the Gov. Politics in state wildlife agencies never benefits wildlife.
