New to Forum- Looking for WY info

This forum was recommended to me by a fly fishing buddy in Montana. I have hunted WY for antelope and mule deer, mostly in the Saratoga area. I have been purchasing preference points and now have 6 Elk pp and I’m thinking it might be time to use them in 2019. I’m looking for advice on where to hunt, either diy on public land or management areas, or I’d consider reasonably priced private lands. I know the Saratoga area, just not well enough for elk. I would consider other areas as well.
Any advice would be appreciated.

If coming from MN, the Bighorns will be the closest areas you can draw with those six points. I've hunted two units in the Bighorns and the elk densities are very high. Any of those units should give you a quality hunt. If you are applying in the Special Draw, you would be guaranteed almost any of those hunts with six points.
