My first smart phone and its the biggest piece of cap. Maybe I just don't like technology.

I told the agent where I bought my phone if they didnt turn off that "add a word" feature I wouldnt buy the phone. I dont need my phone telling me what I want to type!

You sound just like my dad. He hates computers, ATM's, etc, everything but his smart TV that he can watch everything on demand.

Suppose somebody said the same thing when the first telephone came out? or when we went from horse power to the internal combustion engine.

Technology is just a tool and so is a smart phone. I can run my office through mine.

there is a balance needed with technology, and some people cant make those decisions on their own it seems. as of right now all phones can still be turned off!

In this case I am not smarter than the device. The only reason I got it is to take better pictures than my old phone. Another bonus is I can read hunt talk when away from the computer.

Who doesn't love getting work emails at 8 pm on your smartphone. The following transcript took place at 6:45 AM on a work day, and is why I now leave my work provided cell phone at my office every night:
Bossman: Did you get my email last night?
Me: Yes, you sent it while I was having dinner with.....
Bossman: Then why didn't you respond?!?! Why do I pay for these smart phones for everyone if nobody ever uses the email?!?!
Me: You can have it back....
-Bossman throws arms up and storms away mumbling something.
