A new law passed in New York state... would make it illegal to own a gun or magazine that holds more then 7 rounds. I can think of my old Marlin .22 that has a tube that held more then 7 rounds. I can not think of one pistol that I own that has LESS then 7 rounds in the magazine. You must sell them within one year or face criminal prosecution. NOTICE: others "assault weapon" definitions have also been added to the laws. Only one "military feature" is needed for it to be an assault weapon.

Anyone New Yorker want to sell some magazines... I'm interested.

good luck to all

My hats off to New York. They're going to make criminals out of law abiding citizens over night...well over the course of a year. Congrats.

I would like to see NY's crime stats over the next decade to see how this progress experiment works.

Is that possible? :D
ok Cushman that makes me feel better! Farm boy here too!

I know, when they totally ban any magazine or firearm that can hold 7 rounds or more by that action alone will turn honest law abidding citizens into criminals. That old model 12 or marlin 39a etc. etc you now have one year to get rid of or be an outlaw in New York.

Now of course I'm sure every criminal in New York is ready to bide by this law right?

if it happens here. . .count me as a criminal I guess.

I put my money where my mouth was last week and joined the NY Pistol and Rifle Association to help the good fight. I really feel bad for the good people that live outside the city.

We should all send Senator Ball an encouraging message for trying.

This is a slap in the face to those veterans who served to get those involved in killing the New Yorkers in the trade towers. Thanks for putting your life on the line and killing the bad guys that killed us...now you are a criminal unless you get rid of some of the guns you enjoy.

Also, does this mean the cops in New York have to comply?
