I had the opurtunity to hunt with my oldest son. He had already taken his buck, so he went with me to get mine. We hadn't really tried hunting this buck until we had seen what the ranch had to offer. We found him at about 0700, so we started walking. He was a good 3/4 of a mile away. The sun was at our back and he didn't really seem to notice us, until we got to about 450 yards. We laid down in some tall grass and he started coming to us. He would hang up and I would take my hat off, reach up and wave it. Killed him at about 120 yards. My son is a card. He tried to range him, he tells me 12 yards. I looked at him and he had a sh!t eating grin on his face. I was glad my son got to see how curious they can be. Slick
