Hello all, I'm up in Libby MT

I'm a 67 yo retired Arborist who enjoys most outdoor activities. Have been fishing, shooting and reloading since my teens. Started hunting big game & chasing Steelhead in my mid 20's.

Been enjoying getting to know NW Montana these last few years, absolutely blessed to have been able to retire here to God's country. Looking forward to meeting like minded individuals here

Currently looking for a decent mule deer, will be heading out later today to glass.

Welcome the HT Forums. Libby holds a special place in my heart as I spent 5 summers working up there for the Forest Service back in college and made lifelong friends who still live there even though my path took me to Helena many moons ago. Good luck finding a nice muley buck! I always focused on the whitetails during my time hunting up there in the late 90's and early 2000's.....back when the timber companies were clear cutting entire sections of land. The cuts weren't pretty, but they sure grew a lot of deer food in them until the new batch of trees took over. Good luck the rest of the season - let us know how you do.

Will do, I'd happily take a decent Whitetail but the CWD on mostly the WT population here has me a bit leery
