Navada...may be a dumb question!

I will be attending an aviation conferance in Las Vegas in Oct. My question is, and it may be dumb, but are all big game species hunts by draw only in Navada, or are there any over the counter? I`ve been there before and could care less about casinos. I also live on the east coast were we have no "draw hunts"....all over the counter.

I know you guys will know!

I would think not. I went to work there last Aug & went to the Fish & Game division & they said there were no tags left. They have very little tags for non-residents & most are given out way before the season starts. Trying calling the NV Fish & Game & ask if any or left, who knows you may get lucky.

All draw in Nevada. Arizona and Utah would of had much easier to draw hunts not far from Vegas you could of went on if you had put in earlier also. Utah has general area deer tags, but deadline was end of Feb.

Could take a camera, and go hike into Grand Canyon, Bryce or Zion NP. All not real far, and amazing places.

Some amazing quail hunting within two hours of Vegas. Go south toward Kingman. Almost all public land, and in good moisture years, it can be like gopher shooting. I think season opens in October.

Genesis, yes, almost all big game hunts are draw only. I believe you can get a mountain lion tag OTC though. And then there's plenty of small game and bird hunting you can do without drawing.

Ever heard of Chukar? a partridge from the middle east. Find a steep hillside with some cheatgrass and water near by and start chasin'....

Just out of curiosity, is it a GA conference or something other type? Do you work in the industry or just going for fun?

It`s the NBAA (National Business Aviation Association) Conference. So yea, it is basically the GA conference. I work at an airport and will be going for business.

Anyone else here going?
