From the article it appears brass is trying to mitigate severity of charges and embarrassing (fubar) press.

I wouldnt know. I kill raghorns and dont find/look for sheds. I figured the RMEF was a relevant source of what a nice pair of antlers would weigh. You ever find a set weighing 40lbs and you likely have the world record. That would be huge!
Damn! They may need to hire a new media person.I wouldnt know. I kill raghorns and dont find/look for sheds. I figured the RMEF was a relevant source of what a nice pair of antlers would weigh.

My buddy has a chalked horn best guess is around 390” weighed like 19 pounds @antlerradar what would 40# of elk horn score?Damn! They may need to hire a new media person.
The best set I have ever found weighed 15lb each at a year old, maybe would be a lb or two more if smoking fresh. They score 415/420 gross as a seven point typical. I could see a 40lb set scoring less if they had more mass and some palmation. The number of 40lb sets is close to zero, the number of 40lb sets that score under 380 is likely zero.My buddy has a chalked horn best guess is around 390” weighed like 19 pounds @antlerradar what would 40# of elk horn score?
UCMJ doesn’t apply to guardsmen the same way it does to active duty soldiers.I may be wrong but if I were one of the soldiers on that helicopter I'd be much more concerned with how much imagination my commanding officer had when applying UCMJ than the consequences from the civilian authorities. Just my opinion.
Just the (fubar) press. The brass will go to bat for you until it hurts their odds of becoming AG. It’s a cultural issue. From the article it appears brass is trying to mitigate severity of charges and embarrassing (fubar) press.
I was aware of that. Thanks for the information.UCMJ doesn’t apply to guardsmen the same way it does to active duty soldiers.
