Nascar favorite track

Being from NC all the race tracks were close and enjoyed them all, North Wilkesboro, The Rock, Charlotte, just hour and half to Martinsville and man that is racing, covered up in tire rubber when you left. But guess my favorite was watching the man in black race the Lady in Black, just something about ole Darlington. Still miss the good old days of Nascar.

Darlington has a lot of character. That Ricky Craven, Kurt Busch Darlington finish has to be top 3 all time races.

Wasn't a big fan while he was driving but respected how good he was. The pit road drive-through when he won Daytona was very cool.

He was damn good but I think being a Ford guy made me lean away from him. Nobody today would get away with what he did back then. And then smile about it!

When Dale was asked, when’s the last time he drove a Ford. He said into the turn three wall!

Gonna go to my first nascar race at talladega in October. Was wondering what you guys who have been there thought about your experience. What is your guys favorite track?

I have never attended a race there but visited the track once. Was amazed at the overall size of the track and the steepness of the banking. Pretty remote location too.

When I went to the car show at the Indy track we were allowed to take the cars around for a lap. You had to be doing 70+ to stay up on the banking. Some folks took advantage of that. It was really cool to see some old Superbirds holding back and then nailing the loud pedal. Didn't take long for them to bring out a pace car.
