Hey Everyone

I haven't been on much lately to see how everyone has been doing only long enough to see some of the great pics, congrats to everyone on there great hunts.

Been working on a boat garage for awhile and its comming together have all done but the garage door should put that on next weekend for sure.

So maybe I can get some fishing in allthough the wife has other things in mind she wants me to go work at my real job on weekends. I still have about 350' of frnce to put up so I guess a couple weekends would be ok that would pay for the fence then I can go fishing

If the wife says its ok LOL

Moosie, build the house, then BUY the furniture, otherwise it gets weather damage. That don't look like the Moose in that picture. Is your contribution writing the check to the contractor? Thats the way I do it. When I wanted to buy the new boat, my wife said with some conditions. #1, Sell the old boat first! #2 Finish remodeling the bedroom I tore apart two years ago. I am still working on #1, and #2 is gonna hafta to wait till I get the money. I spent it on a boat. The new boat rides great, anyone interested in my old one?

Ok summer project time. 5 weeks ago the back yard was just dirt. 8 tons of landscape rock, 8 yards of topsoil, 1000 square feet of sod and a few trees bushes and shrubs instant back yard.
Next comes the dog house. It's 26 x 28 with 10' clearance. Made with 2x6 studs to get the r-value up for winter. 10x8 door on one side so the other side remains shop space. Don't forget the 6" I beam thats going in to use for hanging game.

Although looking at your design I wish I would have put the garage door at this end. I was jsut gonig to use it for a riding lawnmower (I don't own yet). But if I would put a door on this side I could sell it as another Garage,....... HUMM... DO I Dare call the City and Redesign the shop and Cut Concrete ?!?!

Powderburn...that is a really nice yard you have there. jigmaker looks like you have been keeping busy, and your project is coming right along. Moosie yours looks great as well.
Quick Draw

Moosie

The door would be easy to put in, maybe you could wait a year and do it then, unless you still have to get redesign permits for changes after the building is constructed...

Now would be the easiest before the siding goes on... :)

Moosie plywood is cheaper than OSB in most cases around here. I'm sheeting the roof in 7/16" OSB. I sheeted both ends in the 1/2" plywood I used to form my footings.
The inside will have 2 walls in corregated sheet metal around the area I'm setting up the welder in. By the time its finished I'll be about 8.5k lighter.

The door would be easy to put in,

Besides the concrete cut outs, you're right. I'm sitting on Ordering the Vynyl siding till I decide.

Anyone else build something cool lately ? :D

Moosie, this kind of boat.

If I don't sell it quick, I am gonna have to hide it. Everytime she looks at it I get that look. Maybe I will take it up the river a couple of miles, and have two boats.

Well I don't know how cool it is....cause it really ain't building, but I I've been working on remodeling our house.....actually been going on 2+ years, but who's counting, LOL...

A while back I had salvaged some hardwood flooring out of a house I gutted, and we've been debating what to do with it..........well, recently we decided to redo the kitchen and dining room........we had Hickory cabinets custom built, I knocked out on wall to put in french doors....laid laminate flooring down....and did the sink and island.........I also inset our fridge into the wall so it's flush.........................and the final touch was putting that old hardwood on the ceiling.....yes the ceiling ??!!

Here are just a couple of pics.........ignore the unfinished trim work or lighting, LOL.......will try to get a couple more of the finished job.........only thing I didn't do was build the cabinets........ :)

I forgot to mention....that last year, I put in all new windows and redid the siding........along with finishing out our basement in old barnwood to give it that ol' hunting cabin feel......I'll try to get some pics of those projects up later.....

You guys have a lot more energy than I do. Cuttin the grass wears me out. Last thing I built was a tree stand, and its still up. You guys go back to buildin, I'm gone fishing.

Actually it is the opposite, and it is really a curse.....I've been doing all of my own work trying to save money, and in the meantime it gobbles up all of my free time during the spring and summer....fall is off limits, lol.........I wish I'd have just took out the mortgage and hired somebody to do it.....

Man you had to go and remind me.......I used to fish every free day I had........gotta make time this year, got the family chomping at the bit......just got a couple more projects left....LOL...... :D
