I was going to move it but the rain and snow made it impossible to get it out without being a mess. So I have a couple of friends watching it for me til I go.

looks small but that may be the distance. The property looks nice for me though. No one around to bother me. As long as you can trust your friends you got it made.

Sounds like a tough deal Nut, but you sound like a tough guy...best of luck to you and your family.

looks peacful and hope u be fine be better than where ur at , hell least one of us got away from asshole parents, my bad if i ogt it worng:)

It was a pretty interesting weekend.

T-storms friday night....no sleep

rained hard all day Saturday...no turkey hunting

LittleNut almost got betrothed to a 5th graderwhile we was looking at a house.

TE went square dancing and knows that you must fear the mullet.

Sunday it was cold and snowing. No gobbles today either. :(

I did have a 70 year old man throwing snowballs at me.

LOL Whiskers....
That is a lot better than I imagined...
I was thinking you were going to have that pop up in the back of some parking lot... :)

So whats the whole story? whats your new job? nice country though.

I started taking the family down to Morgan County,Ohio in 2001 since that is where the game is plentiful and more land to hunt.
Ever since it is been in my mind to move there . \
Then there were other events that happened to prod me to be ready for this recently. I basically was ready to move even without employment. Luckily I fell into a half way decent job to enable the move. The job is basically the same as what I am doing now except it will be on second shift and 200+ miles from here. The pay is a little less but the cost of living is way less also.

The wife and boys are going to be still here until June 4th in order to finish the school year at the same school. We will then be in the pop up until we find a place.

But the chance to live where I can be hunting within minutes is worth the chance of falling completely on my ass. I am not worried about Vipe and the boys since we do have friends willing to take them in if it comes to it for a brief time. I have had enough of city living and will not live here until it kills me. |oo

Just the thought of the scouting and prepping I can do for hunting just makes me drool. It is a 3 deer county with some BIG bucks that are just waiting for the Nut Family to tag. ;)

Besides the hunting the pace of life is much slower and less reliant on technology to entertain yourself. The walking and hiking I will do will help my fat ass without a atv become a lean mean love machine again.

Hey Nut,

Best of luck in the adventure for you and the family. You are doing the right thing for the right reasons, you can't go wrong.

God Speed.

It sounds like you are finally getting closer to the better life we all look for....

And Good hunting tops the list... :)
