Here's another, because what goes better with puppies than little girls?

I picked him up Friday, from Bone Point Kennels in Baker City, Oregon. My two youngest girls went with me. We came home via the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway through Enterprise, OR and on to Clarkston, WA. I showed Henry some of the hills he will be chasing redlegs around on.

He is leash trained now, and is doing some very informal retrieving. I plan to start him with a few basic commands this week and continue his gun conditioning that the breeder started.

This first year is going to be fun. I don't expect he'll be all that big by the time bird season opens here, but I'll have him out there anyway. Chukar season runs through January, and I plan to get every last hunt out it that I can.

That's good stuff!! I do miss having a pup around.

My 6 year old GSP thinks he's still that size and he tries to climb up on my chest and take nap every time I'm laying on the couch.
