My D8 CA Deer 10-9-2010

Heres my buck I shot in october in central cal. I went out black bear hunting and jumped three bucks out of there beds, He ran up the hill and looked back at me at 326yds.

I've heard of Californians going Deer hunting and Shooting Elk or Moose or farm cows... but never Black bear hunting and killing a Big Buck !!!

Yea are black bear season starts in mid August (archery) and in mid Sept. turns to rifle and end usally in the later part of Dec. So it overlaps most other hunts.

That is a damn fine buck for D-8. I grew up hunting in that shitbox and never took any that good. I got hooked on the A zone when I got older with a little more sense.
