My 2019 Iowa season

Leaving work now to head to the mississippi river. Hopefully the walleyes cooperate this weekend.

I won an 870 at a Pheasants Forever youth raffle when I was 9 or 10 years old. The wooden stock isnt as nice, but I still use it every deer season. I hope my kids will be able to use it when they are old enough to deer hunt in 7 or 8 years.

The river is slowly falling. The walleyes have been biting in pool 10, Im not sure about pool 9. Most people I have talked to are catching them in deep sloughs trolling crankbaits or on the wing dams on Willow Cats. Good luck.

My parents got me an 870 express 20 gauge when I was 15 and I been using it on all small game ever since. Great gun!

Managed to pick up another pile of fish last weekend with dad.
