After enduring stupid wind warnings for days on end and only seeing a few raghorns cross into public land I decided to cut my losses and try and fill my deer tag.i was also fighting a bout of shingles, and it crushed some of the normal ambition level I usually have. With high winds and with no rut activity I glassed a lot of downwind hillsides and found a few good bucks worthy of punching my tag. Ths one came down to some block management alfalfa and gave me a short 225yrd shot. Now if I can get this first Montana elk under my belt...
