Check out some of the number on the mule deer doe tags. HD 670 has 1,113 mule deer doe tags available. That seems like alot to me but I am not a biologist.

There are almost 8,000 region 7 doe/fawn antelope tags available. I bought a couple for my son as it will be his first hunting season and he will have a ball with 7 deer tags and three antelope tags in his pocket.

Every decade it seems the mule deer come down with a disease, Leaditis. It seems the virus is contracted from lead particles flying in the air. You'll see a dramatic decline in mule deer numbers, again, and they'll blame it again on this natural cycle. Funny thing is, that private lands for the most part don't take part in the virus.
