For Your Information:
The Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Department is currently taking comments on their biennial hunting season's scoping for the upcoming 2014 - 2015 seasons.
One major item of interest to many archery hunters is there is a "push" by some to increase the number of limted elk archery permits in each of the Missouri River Breaks hunting districts.
There is also "word" that MOGA is seriously considering proposing that the MT - FWP create three 2-week archery seasons during September through October with the same number permits in each of the 2-week seasons. In other words . . . three times the number of permits for the entire archery season.
There is also "word" that a MT State Legislator is considering bringing forth a Bill to establish these 2 week season structure(s) in order to increase non-resident archery opportunities in the Breaks hunting districts.
Go to FWP's website and comment (http://fwp.mt.gov/hunting/publicComments/2014_15biennialHuntingSeasonsScoping.html).
Not sure your feelings on these issue(s), but regardless . . . . please comment.
