So thecrittergitters wife drew the bison tag! Anyone know where she can find one close to the road. :)

Yea, we are just beside ourselves that she got the Super Tag! I'm assuming Gardiner is better than West Yellowstone and Later rather than earlier..........I'm hoping Greenhorns expertise as well as Big Fin may have a little extra advise here:) I'm putting together my "buffalo Nation war crew " together as we speak:)

Greenhorn, seems like a relative of yours had a buff tag a while back and you spent some time out there. Are there any areas that the bigger bulls migrate to more than others?

BTW, it doesn't have to be right off the road:) (although we won't pass on a nice one there:))LOL

I would suggest at all costs shooting one as close as possible to the road. Also, take an army of people.. If you are looking for a big horned trophy.. spend some time looking at them. Sometimes the really huge ones appear to have short horns.

Greenhorn............advise noted. Thanks. I have a buddy that has a team of horses and a sled so if its a little ways from the road we should be able to drag him back............

I'm guessing Later in season is better and Gardiner better than West Yellow.???

Too cool...I think it would be great to kill a big bull...man...what a beast of an animal they are. I think Kurt is dead on about their horns looking small...the big bulls heads get soooooooo big that even large horns just look puny... Looking at a bunch will help though...go to Yeller and start watching them and seeing if you guys can tell the diff in different sized bulls.

First day of season could offer the best opportunity. Don't wait until the end, many may show up early and mid-season. I wouldn't bother at all with West. Gardiner is where you want to be.

Critter gitter:

Greenie is exact. Bigger bulls come out the north end. The West side is hit or miss, and that is where all the buffalo hippies hang out.

Congrats to your wife.

Thanks Kurt and Randy. WE are looking forward to it and plan on concentrating on the Gardiner side...............opening day could be good but there is other hunting to be done then:) Might as well wait till my other seasons are over:) Hopefully i will have all my tags filled by Sept 30 and then maybe opening day would be a winner!
