Sucks to live in CA when you have cats you need to kill. I don't see that getting changed anytime soon.

Because waiting up all night over a bait pile doesn't sound like the kind of suck I prefer when hunting. LOL
In this situation it seems like a fair trade.
Are you allowed to keep the meat with a depredation permit?
You guys have really made me want to try mountain lion.

No, only pigs in CA on a depredation or damage permit. I once shit a deer on a damage hunt in a vineyard. Killed the deer, did all the work, got covered in ticks (it was April) and I had to surrender the carcass.
