Walter Cronkite 92 has passed away. The longtime anchorman of CBS News and his signature signoff "And that's the way it is." Was voted the Most Trusted Man in America. When Cronkite reported his belief the Vietnam War as unwinnable LBJ was quoted "If I've lost Cronkite I've lost America."

Lot’s of people made that mistake.

Cronkite was a great journalist because he didn’t let his politics interfere with his news cast. Most modern “anchor” men/women tell a one sided, bias version of the news. You can watch almost any political news story and tell within a few minuets if they are liberal or conservative.
When Cronkite retired, Dan Rather took over his desk, and journalism began to die.
Major network news departments are struggling, and newspapers all over the country are going under, and they wonder why ?
If they could find an anchor person to reports the news like Cronkite did, the whole unbiased news, that network would immediately dominate the ratings and be successful. Instead, we get Katie Couric ?
