Views where great and so was the fishing.

It started slow and it was cold , as the sun got higher and warmer the fishing heated up too.

The wind shifted from east to west to north to south and settled n at west

The fishing just got better. We used worms and minnows Vertical jigging form the mud boat.

Walleye where the target fish and we had a LOT of nipped off tails on our twisters so I know we where in to walleye but we just could not put any in the boat.

Goldeye and red tail suckers where easy.

But the small mouth bass where the stars today.
Some to 18" long .

Looks like an awesome day. A trick I use when they are biting short is use a stinger hook. Check your laws to make sure they are legal.
 
We where all using stingers.
Vertical jigging out of a boat is an odd technic .Some times the fish has taken your jig and spit it out before you even know it.
