I've been studying up on these beast and got the inspiration to paint one. Can you imagine one of these beast stepping out in front of you while your driving. I hope you enjoy this one. I've been wanting to do a moose in memory and in honor of a good friend who passed away this year. His nickname was Moose. So this will mean a lot to his family. Mark bugged me for years to paint a moose. I'm sure he will like it even now.

Dave, I don't like the way he is looking at me......I might be standing where he was planning on standing, and he is darn sure he can make me move!!

Kansasdad, perfect ! thats what I was going for. Thanks
Id; I did bring the snout {mouth} out just a bit to give that look. Kind of like a fisherman holding a fish at arms length to make the fish look bigger. Thanks

Dave, I think this is one of my favorites yet. I don't respond much when you post these paintings but I enjoy seeing the progress. Thanks for sharing.

Like the perspective and the stinkeye warning Dave. Great 3-D like detail in the brushstroked fur also.

Cool. You have a gift, that's for sure. Your next painting should be of a mule deer I killed. Bring him back to life on canvas!!!! : ).
