My brother, our friend and I had an exciting weekend chasing mule deer around the public lands of central Montana. We left the trucks early and split up with high hopes. Shortly after shooting time, I heard a boom and got a satellite text that a nice buck was down. Excited, I continued hunting and hoping for some good luck myself. Sure enough, about an hour later I was moving in on a high bench to getter a better look at some deer when I saw the glisten of antlers form a different group. I was able to sneak to a little over 300 yards and had the elevation advantage. The 7mm08 flew true and then I was sending a text of my own! Apologies on my friends buck pic, that's all he sent me from the field.
