Struck out on elk B, I think I now have 11 or 12 points.

I mean, I drew a great tag, so it must have. Ha.

Also, I burned 5 points on a local elk B tag, so I’m jazzed.

We put in for a tough draw on a WMA in central Montana for elk b and didnt draw, which werent expecting too. Going to elk hunt on a general tag for two days for a bull and one day for a cow in Oct. Good luck to those that drew.

I used to apply for that (or a similar) tag myself, which is how I ended up with a pile of B points.

I would have applied in a different district but it was close to home (fuel prices) and we could have did a combo hunt on my daughters deer tag and based out of Ovando. I will hunt region 3 instead.

After I fed flowers to one all summer, the neighbor boys wiped her out on a cold November evening. There is no next year.
