Thats a strange comment since I havent shot a doe mule deer in Montana for 30+ years. For that matter, in the past 30 years I've shot 3 buck mule deer in Montana. Whitetails, different story.

But, its impossible to expect the average hunter to think there is a problem killing them when the FWP issues tags.

I am considering this approach for the cow moose tag, I drew. I have a young dog that should really get put into as many birds as possible this fall. Most of the meat would go to our daughter's family.

My favorite big game hunt is the elk hunt that my brother and I do. I don't want to short change that hunt. We'll figure something out.

So far 2026 is 37 denies, 2 drawn, and 17 pending. Really wanting good news next Thursday. It's the year to have an antelope permit in Wyoming for sure.
