Mojave in the hoooouuuuuuse

That's seems pretty consistent... :D Glad to have you back around and keep the stories coming.

And there were no other exaggerations on that list? ;)

I actually realized that as I wrote it but left it in because I thought the dichotomy was funny. (anyone else who thinks this is Moosie writing, please note I just used the word dichotomy....and spelled it correctly) But returning to your point I suppose it depends on what your definition of the word 'is' is, or in this case the word 'do'. I tried but I did not inhale...again that is. ;)

I thought maybe you got religon and signed into a convent.

Good lord Whiskers, bite your tongue. and PS how do you KNOW that I'm not the black guy in the back? I've often suggested that I am in actuality a 300# black man. Just sayin'.

Mo, wot in hell u been up to, no wonder I had no replys from emails I sent you in the past year .

kiwi I have the terrible habit of bouncing from email address to email address and back again. You know I would write you back if I got it but I sure haven't seen any. I'm back to using an older one now. You've got PM.

CJ ditto what Oscar said. :D

The funny thing is, some of the less weird sounding items I put on that list probably have some of the more convoluted, wacky stories to go with them. You just never know. Last year was a really weird year though up til now I've always sort of made a habit of doing some crazy whenever I could manage it. Balls to the wall! Keeps life interesting. Nevertheless I may have grown up a bit in the last few months....sadly....god forbid. :(

I will avoid putting pictures of the drummer's autograph up. My brother doesn't need that kind of eye-gouging experience. Cute pics though, if a bit blurry. Well the photos aren't blurry, just the autograph.......it was a good night! :D

I do have a few photos of my plane crash though none of the plane itself (which they lit on fire then put out) doggone it. Here are a couple of the victims.

It was an interagency drill involving everyone from the FBI, through local law and fire, down to the airline catering service. I begged to be allowed to tag along for it and ended up playing a leadership role for my group. I didn't spend much time on the actual field with the burning plane or the screaming "victims". Instead my role was at the airport dealing with frightened, anguished, and in some cases angry "victims families". These guys weren't kidding around either. Everyone busted tail to make it as realistic as possible. Rough gig but a hell of a learning experience.

Plus I worked with some awesome and interesting people. Very cool experience.

Thanks you guys for letting me be so incredibly self indulgent. I am being a little nostalgic at the moment so I appreciate you all bearing with me.

So the rafting on the Colorado bit wasn't really exaggerated. It was my second time and I just get the biggest kick out of it. funny thing is we have some of the best rafting in the world (or so they say) right here in Idaho and I've only ever done it in Colorado.

That's me in the back on the right with the ginormous sunglasses. :D

And a couple of my off-roading pics. The ones in Moab I was driving my Chevy. Those in the Rockies however were in a rental. Not a jeep mind you but a sedan. :D

These actually don't look that bad terrain-wise, but when it was bad I obviously wasn't taking photos. :D That red dirt can be talcum powder fine in some places.

The Moab trip was a kick. I drove out all by myself and slept in my car while I was there. My name isn't Mojave for no good reason. I soooo love the desert.

The Rockies were a hoot. I realized I didn't take great pics of how "rocky" the road was so while the first three are mine, the others I knicked off the net. Same area though. The looks on the faces of the jeep safari drivers was priceless. PS this wasn't just a case of crazy female driver, this little foray was someone else's idea, not mine.

Note the vertical terrain behind me. :D
