MN Opener-Good luck

Wishing everyone a great opener here in MN. My wife just woke me up and said she hardly slept because she is so excited...man I love that woman!! Good luck and stay safe out there. Hopefully we will be posting some pics over the next couple of days

Yes sir. Pretty active night. I took my son with me this evening. He turns 4 on the 23rd and loves being in the woods. I was able to fill my doe tag and my sister in law shot a 4x4. His body was huge!! It was pretty cool to share that experience with my son. My wife is holding out...she wants to get one that is bigger than her sisters...lol. Back at it in the a.m.

It was actually really easy. She shot him right on the mowed trail about 30 yds from the stand. I drove the truck right to him. My doe received the gutless method and she came out in game bags.

Looks like your season is off to a great start. Good luck to your wife in finding a buck bigger than her sisters. She has her work cut out for her.

We look for a decent buck all weekend and look what I see pulling out of our neighborhood this a.m....lol. Gotta love it

Saw a lot of trucks and trailers with deer yesterday on my way to Rochester.

pretty wild Minnesota has the gun season on what I’d say is one of the best rut weeks.

might look into it for next season.

Holding out worked well for my wife this a.m. After a quick grunting session, this guy came trotting in and stopped at 50 yds. 8 minutes after legal shooting light...lol.
