Man, dog killed in Florida's first deadly black bear attack

If there are enough bears that you're regularly seeing them in suburban areas, then that area has enough bears to kill some. I would like to see data which disproves this on any game species.
 
If they killed “several bears” in the area, I would surmise that there are plenty of bears.

I’ve never really pondered the involvement of dogs being involved in bear attacks. I want more details. I’ve witnessed my dogs run off a bear. They scented him and started barking before I saw him. Then I made them sit down and shut up as the black bear powered walked away.

Is it about the dog’s behavior? Breed? Are we talking yappy lil’ lunch boxes?
