on my home farm. Magnus worked like a dream on this buck. I got a bit excited and shanked the arrow left at 40 yards. Luckily the blade cut straight through the major artery in the neck, and he bled out very quickly. A couple inches lower and he would have walked away with nothing more than a close shave.
through sheer chance, the arrow embedded itself in a tiny tree located 10 yards beyond the buck and 50 yards from my stand. Had someone offered me a suitcase full of money on the condition I intentionally hit that tree, I would miss 99/100 times I bet.
I am going to cut out a section of the tree, leaving the arrow in it and place it under the euro-mount I will have made. Biggest bodied deer I have ever shot and the freezer is full for another season!
